Friends of Old Bega Hospital Newsletter January 2022
Dear Friends of the Old Bega Hospital
A big thank you to everyone who bought tickets in the Friends Christmas Raffle, a big thank you to the businesses that provided the excellent prizes, and the biggest thank you to those who organised it and looked after the street stall in Carp Street. The winners are listed on the OBH home page, www.obh.org.au.
If your cooking imagination runs to Vegemite(R), now owned by Bega Cheese, or if you or the kids are at a loose end, why not have a go at the Friends of the OBH Vegemite(R) cooking competition and support the local product? Get together with some mates and see what a team effort can produce between now and judging day, Saturday 29 January. Entry form attached - please pass it on to your contacts too. Entry is free and if you get stuck the internet has plenty of Vegemite(R) ideas to get you started. Spread the Vegemite(R), spread the word!
No money announcements yet. The Reserve Land Manager has an application in with the Black Summer Bushfires Recovery Grants Program for funding for the second stage of the OBH community cultural centre main building restoration. Announcements are due in January. Meanwhile, the RLM is working with the money it has from earlier grants to get stage one under way. Issue of a request for tenders for the first stage of building work is scheduled in January.
Happy new year to all
